Oh how much I missed handbrake drifts! Have a Niva earning it’s keep after the jump.
Also, people in the North are too nice. Got stuck at an incline and just enjoyed revving it like an idiot while the wheels were desperately trying to grab a hold of anything. I could have ended this spectacle any time, but had too much fun with the car slowly sliding sideways. Makes you look like a total dimwit but hey who cares? First guy on foot gave me a push and the shenanigans were over. In Bavaria, people would have pointed and laughed but never would have done anything.

It’s a weird winter. I
returned
from Nürnberg yesterday, and had been in Germany since a week before Christmas. I’ve been in Munich and Sauerland. I’ve seen it snowing once, but that was gone within a minute. When I arrived in Nürnberg last Thursday there were a few small heaps of old snow with most of it thawed away a long time ago, but that’s all the real snow I’ve seen this season.
